Joshua is devoted to building a culture in which each one can flourish in his/her personal vocation for building up the Body of Christ and sanctifying the world.

He is the co-author with Luke Burgis of Unrepeatable: Cultivating the Unique Calling of Every Person (2018) and a contributing author to The Motivation Code (2020).

Joshua is a leader in the field of narrative-based motivational assessment. For the last 20 years, he has applied his expertise in a variety of applications, including coaching, executive search, organizational development, and talent management. He is a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation.

He is a co-developer of MCODE, the first on-line assessment that blends a person’s own achievement stories with established psychometric constructs.

In addition to serving as the Executive Director of the Inscape Center for Personal Vocation, Joshua serves as Director of Programming & Coaching at Franciscan University of Steubenville’s Office of Personal Vocation. He co-founded The Center for Leadership at FUS, leads the freshmen seminar of CFL, Personal Vocation & Christ-Centered Leadership, and developed the Center’s Vocation Coach Program.

He has an MA & Ph.D. in Philosophy of the Human Person.

He and his wife, Brooke, are joyfully Catholic, have six dear children and live in Steubenville, Ohio.

Sister Meredith, O.C.D. is a Carmelite Sister of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles.  She was raised in Los Angeles, CA and attended the University of California, San Diego where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning.  She worked in the Environmental Consulting industry for five years before venturing off to start her own clothing business with her sister and college friends.  She juggled all facets of a start-up business, including sales, design, and manufacturing both domestic and abroad.  Her search for more ended when she finally surrendered to God’s call to religious life and entered Carmel in 2008.  She has served as an administrative assistant at Santa Teresita, a healthcare facility, a teacher in Denver, Colorado, and in her congregation’s Office of Mission Advancement.  Sister Meredith made her final profession in July of 2018 and currently serves as the Retreat Directress at Sacred Heart Retreat House.  She desires nothing more than to love God and to bring others to encounter His healing love for them!

Fr. Chase Hilgenbrinck grew up Bloomington, IL, in a family that loved the Catholic Church and sports.  He was a high school All-American in soccer and played on the United States Under-17 National Team before moving on to play Division I soccer at Clemson University.  

After graduating from Clemson with a degree in Spanish and International Trade, Fr. Chase signed his first professional soccer contract in the country of Chile. He then spent four years playing in the Chilean league, and eventually winning a league championship with Ñublense.  Fr. Chase later signed with the New England Revolution in the United States’ Major League Soccer (MLS) before retiring in 2008 in order to enter the seminary and to become a Catholic priest.  He was ordained for Diocese of Peoria in 2014.  

As a priest, Fr. Chase has spent two years in Hispanic ministry and high school chaplaincy, four years as an Assistant Chaplain at St. John’s Catholic Newman Center at the University of Illinois, and is now the Vocations Director for the Diocese of Peoria.

Father Chris Clay is chaplain of Legatus’ Lexington Chapter and pastor of St. Leo Church in Versailles, KY. He grew up in the Lexington suburb of Paris, the fifth of eight children. His father was part of the family business of breeding thoroughbreds for the horse racing industry. The family practiced their Catholic faith, and an aunt and an uncle were part of religious communities.
 
Father Clay was managing editor of a horse race industry publication before entering the seminary. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Lexington in 2007 and is now in his fourth parish assignment. The Lexington Diocese serves 50,000 Catholics with 50 priests.

A native of England, Joseph Pearce is the internationally acclaimed author of many books, which include bestsellers such as The Quest for Shakespeare, Tolkien: Man and Myth, The Unmasking of Oscar Wilde, C. S. Lewis and The Catholic Church, Literary Converts, Wisdom and Innocence: A Life of G.K. Chesterton, Solzhenitsyn: A Soul in Exile and Old Thunder: A Life of Hilaire Belloc. His books have been published and translated into Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Croatian and Polish.

He has hosted two 13-part television series about Shakespeare on EWTN, and has also written and presented documentaries on EWTN on the Catholicism of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. His verse drama, Death Comes for the War Poets, was performed off-Broadway to critical acclaim. He has participated and lectured at a wide variety of international and literary events at major colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, Britain, Europe, Africa and South America.

He is Visiting Professor of Literature at Ave Maria University and Visiting Chair of Catholic Studies at Thomas More College of Liberal Arts (Merrimack, New Hampshire). He is editor of the St. Austin Review, series editor of the Ignatius Critical Editions, senior instructor with Homeschool Connections, and senior contributor at the Imaginative Conservative and Crisis Magazine. Fr. Boniface Hicks, O.S.B. became a Benedictine monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 1998. Since his ordination to the priesthood in 2004 he has provided spiritual direction for many men and women, including married couples, seminarians, consecrated religious and priests, even as he completed his Ph.D. in computer science at Penn State University. He became the programming manager and an on-air contributor for We Are One Body® Catholic radio in 2010 and has recorded thousands of radio programs on theology and the spiritual life. He has extensive experience as a retreat master for laity, consecrated religious and priests. He became the Director for Spiritual Formation for Saint Vincent Seminary in 2016 and Director of the Institute for Ministry Formation at Saint Vincent Seminary in 2019 and has offered many courses on spiritual direction and the spiritual life. While continuing his other responsibilities he is also currently enrolled in the STL program at Sacred Heart Seminary on the New Evangelization. He is author of Through the Heart of St. Joseph and together with Fr. Thomas Acklin, OSB he is author of the book Spiritual Direction: A Guide for Sharing the Father’s Love and Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love, all published by Emmaus Road Publishing.

Fr. Jeremiah Myriam Shryock, CFR entered the Community of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in 2002. In 2011, Timothy Cardinal Dolan ordained him a priest at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. He currently lives as a hermit at the Monastery of Bethlehem in Livingston Manor, New York, where he serves as a chaplain to the nuns. Msgr. Stephen J. Rossetti PhD DMin is a priest of the Diocese of Syracuse and a research associate professor at the Catholic University of America. He is a licensed psychologist and has been the Chief Exorcist of the Archdiocese of Washington for over 13 years. He is the author of many books and articles, particularly on priestly formation and spirituality. He currently heads the St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal, whose ministry involves exorcisms, deliverance praying and the support and renewal of priestly spirituality.

The Most Reverend Joseph F. Naumann was installed as the 4th Archbishop and the 11th Bishop of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas on January 15, 2005.

His chosen episcopal motto is, “Vitae Victoria Erit” (Life will be Victorious).  Archbishop Naumann has championed the cause for the right to life throughout his ministry. He seeks to lead his flock in upholding and promoting the immense dignity of every human person from conception to natural death.

Through education and evangelization, Archbishop Naumann seeks to facilitate opportunities for encounters with the person of Jesus Christ, winning disciples that will live the Joy of the Gospel and lead others to Christ by the fruit of their lives.

Archbishop Naumann was born on June 4, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 24, 1975, and Auxiliary Bishop of St. Louis/Titular Bishop of Caput Cilla on September 3, 1997. He was appointed as Coadjutor Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas on January 7, 2004, and assumed responsibilities as Archbishop on January 15, 2005.

Stephanie Burke is wife to Dan Burke, mother of four and grandmother of one.  She co-hosts, along with Dan, the popular weekly Divine Intimacy Radio program. Together they serve as servant leaders of the Avila Foundation and the community of Apostoli Viae.

In that capacity, Stephanie devotes the majority of her time in spiritual direction and deliverance ministry and is privileged to see the fruits of the healing and liberating power of God unleashed in the lives of individuals and marriages at their talks, retreats, conferences, and online events.

Lisa is the founder and chief purpose officer of Walking with Purpose. A convert to Catholicism, she wrote her first Bible study in 2002 out of a desire to see Catholic women come to know Christ personally. In 2008, WWP became a fully independent non-profit organization with 501c(3) status and a mission of helping every Catholic woman and girl in America open her heart to Jesus Christ. Today, more than 49,000 women, young women, and girls participate in WWP each year.

Lisa has been recognized by the Catholic Leadership Institute as a National Catholic Leader, and was a presenter at the USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders. She has presented the unique model of WWP at national conferences throughout the country, and has been a guest on a number of radio, television, and podcast shows as well.

Lisa holds a B.A. in psychology from St. Olaf College and is pursuing her master’s degree in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She and her husband Leo have seven children and three grandsons and reside in St. Augustine, Florida.

Dr. Anthony Lilles, completed his graduate and post-graduate studies in Rome at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas. Living in Oxnard, California with his wife Agnes, they are blessed to be parents of three young adults. Dr. Lilles also serves as Associate Professor, Admissions Director and Academic Advisor to the Academic Dean of St. John’s Seminary; and has been appointed as the Academic Dean of St. Patrick’s Seminary and University in Menlo Park. Having taught graduate level theology for over 20 years, Dr. Lilles is specialized in Spiritual Theology, Spiritual Direction, and various classics of Catholic Spirituality. His expertise is in the spiritual doctrine of St. Elizabeth of the Trinity and the Carmelite Doctors of the Church: St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and St. Thérèse of Lisieux. He’s the author of Fire From Above, published by Sophia Institute Press, Living the Mystery of Merciful Love: 30 Days with Thérèse of Lisieux and 30 days with Teresa of Avila – both published by Emmaus Road.

Claire Dwyer is the editor of and frequent contributor to Spiritualdireciton.com and grateful and humbled to be a part of the Avila team.  It was at the Avila Institute that she discerned the call to be a spiritual director and was introduced to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity, whose life and writings inspired Claire’s first book, This Present Paradise.  She has a Master’s certification in Spiritual Theology through the Institute, and an undergraduate degree from Franciscan University--where she currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Leadership Institute. 

Her passion lies at the intersection of the interior life—a hidden, mysterious reality—and the power of the written word to communicate that mystery with beauty and clarity. To that end, she is co-founder and content director of Write These Words and the PraiseWriters Catholic Writing Community.  A wife of 26 years, mom to six and grandmother to one, she lives with her family in Phoenix.

Andrew Laubacher (ALOB) is a songwriter, worship leader and speaker based in Southern California. After straying from the Lord in high school, he was brought back into relationship with God through youth conferences, powerful prayer experiences, and the witnesses of many influential people in his life. After graduating from Franciscan University in Steubenville, he began to pursue ministry full-time. His heart for worship and his belief that God is always at work in our lives shine through in his music. He released his first EP, Living Water and followed that with a full-length record, No Match for Love. He tours the US and abroad sharing his music, praying with communities, and helping people embrace the miraculous, healing, matchless love of God.
